Wandering tiger from India ends up dead in Nepal

Start

Three wandering tigers from Dudhwa and Pilibhit tiger reserves went to Nepal this month. One of the tigers was tranquilised and caged. The other one, allegedly killing six people in Nepal, broke free and escaped. The third one was found dead: ensnared and declawed.

Nepalese and Indian wildlife officials now argue where the tiger was poached and killed.

The three tigers will be matched against the database to find out their origin, according to field director Sanjay Pathak.
