Malayan State Parks official Shah Redza Hussein has won an award. He received the Dr Rimington Award 2020. Why? For his outstanding contribution to the conservation of tigers.
Because of his work Shah Redza was nominated by an WWF Malaysia, an NGO, for this international award. But he was also supported by other non-governmental organisations. Rimau and the Malaysian Nature Society endorsed the Malayan Perak State Parks official as well.
The Dr Rimington Award is presented annually since 2018. It recognises highly exemplary contributions in the conservation of wild tigers. Consequently the award encourages continued interest among future generations.
