The San Antonio Zoo is a bit more colorful as of late thanks to the newest member of the family.
On Tuesday, the zoo announced via social media the addition of a 3-year-old male Sumatran tiger named Jeda.
After Jeda gets settled in and used to his new bearings, zookeepers will introduce him to the resident female Sumatran tiger, The Royal Ja’Malle. The zoo said it is ideal that the two animals mate as part of the Species Survival Plan to save the critically endangered species.
