USA Omaha zoo working to breed Amur tigers

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is working to breed the Amur tigers.

With less than 500 Amur tigers in the wild, zoos play an important role in the future of the species. The zoo said the current efforts are funded by a national leadership grant.

Zoo veterinary workers artificially inseminated Vera via multiple procedures at Lee G. Simmons Wildlife Safari Park and documented the process on their Instagram story.
