Delhi zoo plans to get more tigers for breeding program


The Delhi zoo is seeking approval of the Central Zoo Authority (CZA). Why? For bringing three tigers from Nagpur and Chennai. This will be a part of a conservation breeding programme.

Ramesh Pandey is the National Zoological Park director. He said the tigers would be brought in following an approval from the CZA. The plan is to translocate two tigers from Gorewada zoo (Nagpur). And another male tiger from Chennai.
